VENEZIA 63 – Il nostro Leone d'Oro: "Still Life" di Jia Zhang-Ke
In un'edizione di grandissimo livello, per Sentieri selvaggi non è stato facile tra i tanti meritevoli (De Palma, Verhoeven, Resnais, Johnny To, Kon Satoshi, Cuaron, Estevez, e anche Crialese) scegliere uno solo film per il nostro Leone d'Oro. Da. E alla fine, di un soffio, abbiamo scelto il cinese Jia Zhang-Ke con il suo bellissimo "Still Life"

In un'edizione di grandissimo livello della Mostra del cinema, per la redazione di Sentieri selvaggi presente al Lido non è stato facile scegliere uno solo tra i diversi film che, tra i tanti, meritano di vincere il Leone d'Oro. Da De Palma a Verheven, passando per Resnait, Johnny To, Kon Satoshi (Paprika), ma anche Cuaron e il Bobby di Emilio Estevez, e in gran parte anche il film di Crialese, mai come quest'anno abbiamo avuto, per il nostro, simbolico, premio, il classico imbarazzo della scelta. Abbiamo "democraticamente" votato e alla fine, sia pure di un soffio, Ja Zhang Ke con il suo bellissimo "Still Life" (il film sorpresa del Festival) l'ha spuntata sul delizioso "Private Fears in Public Places" di Resnais e sul gioiellino di Johnny To, Exiled.
