Assegnati questa notte i BAFTA Awards 2014. Tra i vincitori senza dubbio spicca Gravity di Alfonso Cuaròn che ha portato a casa gran parte dei premi tecnici e gli ambiti riconoscimenti alla regia e al miglior film inglese. 12 anni schiavo – favoritissimo alla vigilia – porta a casa soltanto due premi, comunque prestigiosissimi: miglior film dell'anno e miglior attore. Tra le sorprese il premio come attore non protagonista all'africano Barkhad Abdi (Captain Phillips).
