La fine del mondo arriva, ovviamente, durante un party. Ecco le prime foto dal set di The End Of The World, precedentemente intitolato The Apocalypse, scritto e diretto dagli attori, sceneggiatori e produttori canadesi Seth Rogen e Evan Goldberg.
La coppia che ha già sceneggiato Suxbad, Strafumati, The Green Hornet e Neighborhood Watch ha chiamato a raccolta diversi attori della scuderia Apatow, Mottola e non solo, che recitano tutti nei panni di se stessi, per raccontare come un gruppo di amici affronta la catastrofe finale durante una festa a casa di James Franco. Il film è una rielaborazione dell'idea già utilizzata per il cortometraggio Jay & Seth vs. The Apocalypse.
Nel cast oltre allo stesso Rogen (Take This Waltz, 50/50) troviamo James Franco (Maladies, Lovelace, Child of God, Oz: The Great and Powerful, Spring Breakers) Jonah Hill (Suxbad, Molto incinta, Funny People, The Wolf of Wall Street) Michael Cera (Suxbad, Youth in Revolt, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) Paul Rudd (40 anni vergine, This Is 40) Jay Baruchel (Cosmopolis) Jason Segel (Molto incinta, Bad Teacher, Non mi scaricare, This Is 40) Emma Watson (Marilyn) Aziz Ansari (Scrubs, Funny People, 30 Minutes or Less) e la popstar Rihanna (già in Battleship).
E ancora Danny McBride (Strafumati, Parto col folle) David Krumholtz (Suxbad) Martin Starr (Suxbad, Molto incinta, Adventureland) e Craig Robinson (Strafumati, Zack & Miri).
The End Of The World esce in USA il 14 giugno 2013.
